Flashrock Invite and Warren Central Dual

Wildcat Fans,

The Wildcats were in action twice this week with a win over the Freshman of Warren Central on Tuesday and a respectable 7th place finish in the "Green" division of the Flashrock Invitational on Saturday.

At Warren on Tuesday, Senior Andrew Salupo led the charge with a second place finish. Following closely behind was Freshman Erik Perkins who led the Freshman team as they took places 2 thru 6 to take home victory in their first race as a team.

The Varsity team toed the line Saturday at the Flashrock Invitational held at Northview Christian Church in Carmel. The Cats were again led by Sophomores Robel Teklezghi and Aaron Bowers, who backed up their breakout performances from a week earlier with a solid 36th and 37th place finishes both in a time of 16:44.

Our picture for this week's post is from the website www.runningwarehouse.com ; who has added Lawrence North XC to their team program. Ask Coach McAloon for the promotion code that will give team members a 15% discount for online purchases.

Ben Davis Invitational

Wildcat Fans,

The 'Cats are back. Led by a breakout day from Sophomores Robel Teklezghi (16:34) and Aaron Bowers (16:36) the Wildcats finished 3rd at the 20 team Ben Davis Invite. Robel's time bumps Indiana State University Harrier Zach Miller off the all-time Sophomore list for 10th best in school history. Of the 35 that toed the line yesterday, 27 posted Season's Best / Personal Best 5k's. En route to their third place finish, the Cat's enacted revenge against an up-coming Avon XC team that soundly beat them in Lafayette a week earlier.

The Wildcats will be in action twice this week with the Freshman season starting with a duel meet against the Frosh of WC. Then on Saturday the full squad will go up against Central Indiana's best at the Flashrock Invitational at Northview Christian Church.

It's still early , but this is shaping up to be another exciting campaign for the Wildcats!

The Start of the Next Chapter

Wildcat Fans,

Welcome to LNXC 2011! The summer training season has begun and the 'Cats have begun blazing miles on the trails and pumping iron in the weight room. This year the Wildcats will be led by a core of 3 Varsity returners (Greg Scofield, Adam Oldham, and Ty Williams) from last year's team which captured Third place at the State Finals. With a strong class of upcoming Sophmores (including Joe Murphy, Robel Teklezghi, Aaron Bowers and Jake Hannawalt) and a contingent of talented new comers the Wildcats should be an exciting team to watch in 2011.

Stay tuned for LNXC action as the 'Cats set out to prove themselves yet again.
